A hundred years ago the Croatans called this place home. A land known as the Meeting of the Waters, where the first new marina on the Albemarle Sound in the last 20 years is now in operation at Scotch Hall Preserve. The Scotch Hall Preserve marina sits in a tranquil and shaded lagoon on the south side of Salmon Creek, within 100 yards of the Albemarle Sound. Featuring 17 slips that can accommodate boats up to 50 feet in length.

Nature at it’s Finest
Maybe it’s that we’re in harmony with nature that this place is so very special. The majestic Albemarle Sound. Scenic Salmon Creek. The historic Chowan River. Cruise or sail on it. Fish or crab in it. Or simply gaze upon its beauty. Because here there is beauty around every turn, uninterrupted and unspoiled. With more than 1,200 acres of pristine land and three miles of frontage on the Albemarle Sound, Scotch Hall Preserve offers up the Inner Banks at it’s most beautiful.
Play One of Arnold Palmer’s Finest Creations
If you’re a golfer, there’s nothing better than stepping off the boat and playing a round of 9 or 18 holes on a signature Arnold Palmer course. With 11 holes framed by majestic views of the Sound you may find your biggest challenge one you don’t care to meet – keeping your eye on the ball. This Championship Golf Course is an extraordinary collaboration between Arnold Palmer and Mother Nature.
If golf is not your thing, Scotch Hall Preserve offers an array of activities for the whole family. Enjoy the zero entry pool, hot tub spa, sand volley balls court, lawn games, spiral waterslide and children’s playground.
Enjoy a Community Built Around Tradition and Enjoyment
Though we pride ourselves on our resort-style amenities, there are simple joys to be found here. Treasures as simple as a child’s laughter, the exuberant splashing of the beloved family dog as he dives from the shore, the reflective glow of a camp fire, a slow dance in the moonlight. Simple. Irreplaceable.
